ЛОБОВОЙ УДАР СО СМЕЩЕНИЕМ

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer was introduced in the 2002 model year, and the GMC Envoy was redesigned the same year. The Buick Rainier and Isuzu Ascender (5-passenger) were introduced in the 2004 model year.
Beginning with 2005 models, structural, frontal airbag, and seat belt changes were made to improve occupant protection in frontal crashes. The Saab 9-7X was introduced late in the 2005 model year, and the Buick Rainier was discontinued after the 2007 model year.

Restraints/dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the B-pillar.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. Head acceleration from the B-pillar hit was low.

БОКОВОЙ УДАР

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer was introduced in the 2002 model year, and the GMC Envoy was redesigned the same year. The Buick Rainier and Isuzu Ascender (5-passenger) were introduced in the 2004 model year. Beginning with 2005 models, front and rear side head curtain airbags became available as options. The Saab 9-7X was introduced late in the 2005 model year with standard head curtain airbags. The Buick Rainier was discontinued after the 2007 model year. Beginning with the 2008 model year, side airbags were made standard on all remaining models.

Injury measures

Driver - Measures taken from the dummy indicate that rib fractures and/or internal organ injuries would be likely in a crash of this severity. Serious neck injuries would also be possible.
Rear passenger - Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.

Head protection

Driver - The dummy's head was protected from being hit by any hard structures, including the intruding barrier, by a side curtain airbag that deployed from the roof.
Rear passenger - The dummy's head was protected from being hit by any hard structures, including the intruding barrier, by a side curtain airbag that deployed from the roof.

ЛОБОВОЙ УДАР СО СМЕЩЕНИЕМ
Structure/safety cage Injury measures Restraints/dummy kinematics
Head/neck Chest Leg/foot, left Leg/foot, right
acceptable acceptable acceptable Good poor acceptableг

The dummy's position in relation to the steering wheel and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that the driver's survival space was maintained reasonably wellSmeared greasepaint indicates where the dummy's head hit the B-pillar and window frame, indicating the possibility of head injury
Intrusion into the driver's footwell area contributed to the likelihood of right lower leg injuries
ЛОБОВОЙ УДАР СО СМЕЩЕНИЕМ

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer was introduced in the 2002 model year as a larger, heavier replacement for the Blazer, which remained in production through the 2004 model year. Similarly, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada were redesigned for 2002, replacing entirely their earlier, smaller versions.
Structural, seat belt, and frontal airbag changes were made beginning with 2005 models to improve occupant protection in frontal crashes. Therefore, the frontal offset ratings for 2002-04 models do not carry over to 2005 and later models.

Restraints/dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was reasonably well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head extended part way out the open window and hit the B-pillar.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the neck and left leg indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. A high head acceleration occurred when the dummy's head hit the B-pillar, indicating that injuries to the head would be possible. Forces on the chest indicate that injuries to the chest would be possible. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be likely.
